Catsize Entertainment

about us

Catsize Entertainment is a small Australian family company, founded in 2004. Its four members have converged in Sydney for the development of the business and its first product — "A Walk on the Wild Side".

Added to our ranks are Bokchoy, an outrageous blue Burmese, and Kucing, a shy tortoiseshell with soccer skills to rival Pele. Both are much loved indoor cats who occasionally visit the outside world.

It was a revelation when we first noticed that whenever there was a nature documentary on the TV, the cats would watch intently. Unbelievable, we thought, until indoor cat owning friends reported the same odd phenomena. Then, strangely, the TV remote started to disappear, sometimes for days on end… only to be found hidden in the cat toy box. What was going on?

Realising that cats actually watch, interpret and respond to images on a television screen, we decided that with our combined expertise we could produce a quality product — a program tailored to particular cat ‘tastes’ — which would also be aesthetically pleasing for cat owners.

Bokchoy became a star. Kucing became a star's best friend. We humans developed some nasty facial tics from endess hours of filming crickets. The birds, fish and mice were well behaved, but we've decided that crickets are not that smart.

A highlight of the website: a web log written (with assistance) by a cat! In this ‘blog’, Bokchoy gives a fascinating account of life from a cat’s point of view and readers will be given a unique insight into what really goes on in the tiny feline mind!

We hope you enjoy the features on our site and we just know that you and your furry companion will love the DVD!
